Get a little DIRT Between your spokes!
It was the toughest 24-hour mountain bike endurance event in the UK, and Original Source was in it up to our mudflaps.
The race was packed with 1,440 glorious minutes of mud, sweat and fears, wrapped around a weekend bender of bikes, extreme adrenaline and good old-fashioned family fun.
The action kicked off with Dirt Demo, the largest mountain bike demo in the country, a Mini Mayhem children’s bike skills course and a bewildering choice of other free entertainment.
Set in the stunning grounds of Eastnor Castle Deer Park, 2,351 riders of all capabilities tackled the course in teams or went it alone. Together they negotiated hillock, dale and insomnia to beat a trail to the finish line.
A crowd of 15,000 turned up to watch the spectacle, which turned out to be a cracking way to spend a summer weekend.
And it all happens again next year, so be sure to get yourself on the grid for 2010.
